Agreement
By creating an account, signing in, or using Housey, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Housey.
Household use
Housey is a private coordination service for people who share a household. You are responsible for the messages, house details, rules, Wi-Fi credentials, and cleaning information you add and for ensuring you have permission to share them.
Community standards
You agree not to use Housey to harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, spam, or distribute hateful, sexual, violent, illegal, deceptive, or privacy-invasive material. Do not share another person’s private information without permission.
Reports and blocking
You can report a message or user and block another household member. Reports may include a limited content snapshot needed to review the concern. Blocking hides that person’s chat activity from your view but does not remove them from the household.
House roles
A host controls house settings, membership, shared spaces, rules, and house deletion. Roommates can leave a house. Deleting a hosted house removes access for every member. Use these controls carefully because destructive actions cannot be undone.
Account security
Keep your credentials secure and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access to help@housey.io.
Service availability
Housey is provided as available. Network delivery, notifications, presence, chat, and cleaning reminders may be delayed or unavailable. Do not rely on Housey for emergencies or safety-critical communication.
Enforcement
Housey may remove content, restrict features, suspend access, or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate reports, secure the service, comply with law, or enforce these terms.
Account deletion
You may delete your account from Settings or use the external Delete Account path. Limited records may be retained when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, security, or legal obligations.
Housey materials
Housey’s software, branding, design, and service materials are owned by Housey or its licensors. These terms give you a personal, limited, revocable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership.
Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, Housey is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. Housey does not supervise roommate relationships or guarantee that household members will perform agreed tasks.
Changes
Housey may update these terms as the service changes. Material updates will be published with a new version and communicated where appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
